Goals and objectives:

Goal: High attendance

Objectives

·         50% of students to attend the event

·         5% of staff and faculty

·         5% of the Clarksville community

Goal: Successful outcome of the event

Objectives

·         Sound system

·         Place clean and ready

·         Chairs arrange

Goal: Artist/Performer to feel welcome

Objectives

·         Eat lunch/dinner with him

·         Talk to him about his career

 

Selection of date, time, and site

Promotion and marketing

·         Social Media:

University of the Ozarks’ website and Facebook page

·         Poste:

Two posters per building

Clarksville community (Example: Posters at el Molcajete)

Agenda

For participants:

·         Doors open at 6:45pm and close at 7pm

·         Opportunity for pictures after the event

For planners:

·         Promotional/ Marketing Agenda:

During March, send an email per week

Starting of the 30th, send two emails per week

April, 6th, 7th, 8th send one email each day

Posters on the 16th (March) posters everywhere (Buildings and Clarksville Community)

Radio: KUOZ and KXIO (March 16th)

Event Structure

 1.   What is the goal/objective this event is meant to support?
The goal is to connect the community and students to campus.

2.      Do we have sub-objectives that are part of this event?
The sub-objectives are to enrich the audience culturally and spiritually with the performance of Daniel Martin Moore.

3.      Does the event serve multiple functions?
Yes. The functions are entertainment for students/ community, profit for the performer, and connection.

4.      How can you manage all those functions effectively? Or what committee structure be?
The group is going to subdivide into committees according to the needs and tasks that would be accomplished for the success of the event. The subgroups will have the advice of each other.

5.      Identify who will come?
Students, community/ families.

6.      Identify who you want to come?
Students, donors, community (families), campus community.

7.      Research participants?
Daniel Martin Moore.

8.      What are all the ways you can reach them? A list and rank in terms of effectiveness?
